• It constitutes two physical tickets – A paper BMTC day pass for Bus journey and a Smart Card for Metro Journey.
• The paper BMTC day pass will be issued by the BMTC bus conductors and Metro ticket offices.
• A Passenger must possess a Smart Card for Travel in a Metro Train. The passenger can use any existing Metro smart card   which he possesses or he can purchase a new smart card for this purpose.
• This is valid for travel on the day of purchase.
• Holder of MBT can travel unlimited during the day of purchase in both Metro and BMTC Buses.
• These are of two types OFMBT Day Pass- MBT Saral and MBT Saraag.

 

 

 

Rules for Metro-Bus Ticket (MBT): 

It constitutes two physical tickets – A contactless smart card for metro journey and a paper BMTC day pass for Bus journey. The paper BMTC day pass will be issued by the BMTC bus conductors and Metro ticket offices. The passenger can use any existing contactless smart card which he possesses or he can purchase a new smart card for this purpose. When a passenger wishes to perform the journey on Metro, he will approach ticket counter at Metro stations and present his BMTC day pass to validate the smart card. The smart card shall be used on the date of sale of paper day pass of BMTC

 

Namma Metro (Kannada: ನಮ್ಮ ಮೆಟ್ರೊ Our metro), also known as Bangalore Metro (Kannada: ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಮೆಟ್ರೊ), is a mass-transit rail system for the city of Bangalore, Karnataka, India. The agency responsible for its implementation is the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (BMRCL). The first stretch between Baiyyappanahalli and M.G. Road was inaugurated on October 20, 2011.
